Rehearsal Time and Location: The SFS Flute Choir meets from Fall through Spring of each year. Rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at
Northminster Presbyterian Church, 7706 25th Ave NW, in the Ballard/Loyal Heights area of Seattle.
(Fall '10 Season begins: Sept. 26, 2010 -- New members are welcome to join through October 27, 2010)
Fee: The twice-yearly fee of $35 is due in October and February (make checks payable to the Seattle Flute Society). All participants must be current SFS members.
The SFS Flute Choir is a positive and friendly group. The group's style is upbeat and encouraging, with an emphasis on skill-building. If you are rusty or haven't played in an ensemble recently (or ever!), this may be the ensemble for you—give us a try!
To join the SFS Flute Choir, please
the Flute Choir Manager, Alicia Edgar. There is no audition—all current SFS members are welcome. Intermediate and advanced level flutists will be comfortable with the difficulty of the repertoire. You are welcome to sit in with the ensemble for a week or two before joining. (Please

Katrina Sibicky A native of Philadelphia, holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Hartford's Hartt School. Following graduation, she worked as a middle school orchestra director in Groton, CT for 4 years. During her time in Connecticut, Katrina was involved in several local bands and orchestras as both a player and conductor. She played flute and piccolo in the Connecticut College Band, was a cellist and assistant conductor of the Colchester Civic Orchestra, and was a flutist and co-conductor of the Norwich Arts Council Symphonic Band. Since moving to the Seattle area in 2008, Katrina has been working in the Seattle School District as an instrumental music teacher at several elementary schools throughout the city. She has played with the SFS Flute Choir for 2 years before becoming the ensemble's director.
